Meet Happy The Dog Ministry

The 2025 Retreat Worship Leaders

Happy the Dog Ministry partners with Christian organizations in leading meaningful worship experiences which both bring people to Christ and nurture that lifelong relationship. We work with churches, schools, camps, retreats, and any other Christ-centered organization.

Their Team is made up of gifted praise and worship leaders who are committed to serving the Lord while serving others.

Happy the Dog’s official Bible verse for the ministry is Acts 4:20 - “As for us, we cannot not keep quiet about the things we have seen and heard.” We would love the pleasure in joining with you in “not keeping quiet”.

Pastor Phil Severn

The 2025 Retreat Speaker

Pastor Phil Severn has been the Lead Pastor of North Park Baptist Church for 6 years and also served in Youth Ministry for 17 years before becoming a Lead Pastor.

He has been married for 21 years and has a diverse family with 2 foster sons from Afghanistan, an "unofficial son" from Vietnam, and 2 biological sons in Elementary and Middle School.  The Severn family stays busy with 5 sons ages 10-23.  Their house is rarely quiet or boring.

Phil loves to play sports, strategy games, and video games with his sons and they love to go to the beach as a family.
