Dear CranHill Campground and Cottage Friends,
It is with great sadness that I am writing this email to you today. If you’re like me you’ve been looking forward to coming to CranHill for your stay. Well, that stay is, unfortunately, going to have to wait just a little while longer.
Yesterday, Governor Whitmer announced that the Stay-At-Home order will remain in effect until May 28th. With this order, she has essentially required CranHill’s Campgrounds and Cottage Rentals to remain closed until at least May 28th. As difficult as this is for us, we rejoice because as a Christian organization we get to represent Christ in honoring the authorities over us (Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2:13).
Believe me, we really want to be open, and we really want you here. We not only desperately need the revenue, but we simply love the ministry that happens while you’re here. You’re not just like family… you are family.
You are entitled to a full refund without cancellation fees because we are required to cancel your reservation.
You may choose one of the following options:
-
DONATE your received payments to CranHill to help support the current financial needs of this ministry. In this case, you will receive a tax receipt for 100% of the funds donated and you can then make another reservation for a future date.
-
REBOOK your received payment for a future date during the 2020 camping season. In this case, we would love to help you find another date this summer.
-
REFUND Your received payment will be 100% refunded to you. Refunds will be processed within two weeks of your reservation date and credited back to your credit card or sent by check.
If you choose Option 1 or Option 3, we will process your request and you will receive the proper communication showing your donation or your refund.
If you choose Option #2, we will give you a phone call to assist your rebooking. Or feel free to give us a call during normal office hours at your convenience.
We are still planning to open the campground and cottages this season just as soon as we can. Please stay tuned to our website and social media for further updates. You might also want to catch a new weekly update video called “The Porch.”
Thank you so much for your partnership and prayers during these unique days. We continue to pray for all our guests, that the Lord would make these days a great time of family connectedness to each other and to the Lord regardless of all that is happening around us.
Blessings, and we look forward to seeing you soon here at the Ranch.
In Christ,
STATEMENT OF FAITH
GOD - We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Job 42:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 2:12-16; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 1:18)
JESUS CHRIST - We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. Jesus-Israel’s promised Messiah-was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate. (1 Corinthians 8:6; John 1:1-3; John 20:31; Matthew 1:23; Matthew 11:27; John 10:38; John 12:45; John 14:7; Colossians 1:15-16, 2:9; Revelation 22:13)
THE WORK OF CHRIST - We believe that Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation. (Acts 4:12; Romans 5:15-20; Hebrews 1:3)
THE HOLY SPIRIT - We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service. (John 14:16-26; 15:26; 16:7-14)
CHRIST’S RETURN - We believe in the personal and bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission. (Job 19:25-26; John 14:1-4; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; 1 Corinthians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7; 22:12, 20)
THE BIBLE - We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; 1 Corinthians 14:37; Proverbs 30:5)
RESPONSE AND ETERNAL DESTINY - We believe that God commands everyone everywhere to believe the Gospel by turning to Him in repentance and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ into their inner being. We believe that God will raise the dead bodily and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace. Amen. (Colossians 3:1-4; Philippians 1:6; Romans 8:1, 29-34, 38,39; John 10:27-29; 16:8; Ephesians 1:13-14,17-18; 3:16; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Titus 3:5)
THE CHURCH - We believe that the true church comprises all who have been justified by God’s grace through faith alone in Christ alone. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. The true church is manifest in local churches, whose membership should be composed only of believers. (Ephesians 1:10, 22; Colossians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 12)
THE HUMAN CONDITION - We believe that God created human beings in His image. Adam and Eve sinned when tempted by Satan. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God, and under His wrath. Only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled and renewed. (Genesis 3; Romans 5:12-14; Ephesians 2:1-3)
MARRIAGE, SEXUAL BEHAVIOR AND GENDER - We believe that God established marriage to be between one man and one woman only. Sexual intimacy and sexual relations outside of that marriage relationship is sin. Gender is ordained by God, established at conception, revealed biologically, and cannot be changed or altered by human will. (Genesis 1:27; 2:24-25; Exodus 20:14,17; 22:19; Leviticus 18:22-23; 20:13,15-16; Deuteronomy 22:5; Matthew 19:4-6; Romans 1:18-31; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 15-20; 1 Timothy 1:8-11; Jude 7)
CHRISTIAN LIVING - We believe that God’s justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power and purpose. God’s people are called to holiness in all aspects of life. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. With God’s Word, the Spirit’s power, and fervent prayer in Christ’s name, we are to combat the spiritual forces of evil. In obedience to Christ’s commission, we are to make disciples among all people, always bearing witness to the Gospel in word and deed. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5, 10:12; Matthew 5:13-16, 28:19-20; Mark 12:30; Luke 10:27; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16, 2:9-12; 2 Timothy 1:9; Ephesians 5:3)
…Therefore we are driven to our mission of Transforming Lives Into the Image of Christ through youth camps, family camping, retreats and adventure experiences.
